Did You Miss Us?

We spent last week in warm, sunny Mexico! My poor chapped Minnesotan hands were healed the minute we stepped off the plane.

Here are a few pictures of our tropical vacation:

The tables have turned: Mommy and Daddy woke DREW up at 3 am!

The first of many cute faces we saw during the week

Drew, say "palapa"

The ocean!

Apparently iguanas are like squirrels in Mexico. They're everywhere!

Andy and Drew cooling off the tootsies

C-U-T-E

Snorkeling in Akumal. We saw five sea turtles and one sting ray!

Us =)

The happy Quiring family enjoying the pool

Total relaxation

The men

A day in Playa del Carmen

We saved most of the awesome towel art we got during the week. We called it "The Zoo."

We made some wonderful memories. Now back to our regularly scheduled program... =)

Looks like you had fun, but that towel art is kind of weird. I also have been thinking of you guys a lot. I think you should call your blog, "Here we grow". What do you think? Growing family?

1. My mom has a good idea there!
2. Love the photos, especially the one of you standing in the ocean with your blue shirt. So pretty!
3. I'm gonna need a few of these. :)

I did miss you! I even checked your blog while you were gone, just in case you put something new up there.

Ya, I missed you too. Looks like you had a blast. Regarding the towel art- do you think they have community ed classes where Mexican artisans (or resort-employee-hopefuls) learn to master that art? Do you think there are multiple people incharge of making those, or just 1 person whose only job is to sculpt towel animals?

Andi- LOVE the title idea! I think puns are very funny =)

Betsy- Ha ha! I can picture the frustration of the lesser talented comm ed students when the swan ends up looking more like a duck. Towels would be flying everywhere.

We decided that our room cleaner actually made the towel creatures on the spot, because we never once saw someone wheeling around a cart full of pre-made animals.
